Week 29 (84 days left!!!)

You have 12 Weeks, 0 Days to go!
Your due date is April 24, 2009.
Your baby is about two and a half pounds and would be between fifteen and seventeen inches tall if she could stand. Your baby's adrenal glands are producing a chemical which will be made into estriol (a form of estrogen) by the placenta. This estriol is thought to stimulate the production of prolactin by your body, and the prolactin makes you produce milk. So even if your baby comes early, you'll still be able to breastfeed. Each passing week improves the likelihood that your baby will be born strong and healthy. Her brain can detect rhythmic breathing and control body temperature, so she's less likely to need breathing assistance should she be born early. She's growing eyelashes, adding fat, and developing her brain. Because of brain wave activity, researchers have speculated that babies can even dream at this time!
GROW BABY, GROW!
UPDATE: Okay so I had my 28 week doctor's apponitment yesterday. The doc said that my down syndrome screening test that I took back when I was 19 weeks came out negative, so there is no chance that my baby will have anything wrong with it's spine or down syndrome, which is a plus. Also the doctor got my result back for the gestational diabetes test that I did on Monday and I passed that aswell :) very very good news there. He said that I am growing properlly and that the baby's average heart rate is around 134 beats, so the baby is doing good. It is currently on spread from side to side, not head down or breech, just chilling in the middle, which is good, it still has alot of time to choose on how difficult it wants to make labour lol. Unfortanetly the doctor said that it is not likely that I will be getting another ultrasound seeing as how we are doing good and there are no abnormalities, which is a good thing, but I really wanted to get those 3D pics and hopefully find out the sex but oh well, I guess Lesley gets his way, like usual. Anywho I told the doc that I hadn't really felt the bambino move in the last 3 days so he got right on sending me over to the hospital for a non-stress test...which caused me to only have 4 hours of sleep for today, OOF. It was nuts though he said that he wanted to make sure everything was okay just incase I had to deliver today. I was like "Woahhhh" lol its crazy that that is a possiblity now. And when I went to the admitting at the hospital the nurse asked if I was going into labour! Craziness! Then I had to go up and sit with this strap around my belly monitoring contractions and the baby's movement. But I started to get cramps really bad and to my knowledge I guess they were braxton hicks. Scared the F*ck out of me though. They hurt so bad and were really strong, got me scared for labour lol. But as soon as the nurse heard about them she immediately sent for a doctor to check me out. To my luck it was a student who was still training to become a doctor. She came in and barely spoke english and assumed that I would just be ready for a pelvic exam. Honestly, she didn't know what she was freaking doing! All I'm going to say is that she kept on screwing up, the pain was unbearable, and that she should never be allowed to do that to another human being. Anyways after all that and waiting like another 2 hours in the hospital the doctor on call finally came told me that everything looked fine but the swab they took that would determine if I could go into an early labour had gotten contaminated from that other doctor. FOR REAL I WENT THREW THAT FOR NOTHING! I was beyond livid and just wanted to get out of there so he finally let me go home to get another hour of sleep so I got like 4 all together if that. Was NOT a good experience AGAIN at that hospital, I really wish I didn't have to deliever my bambino there... but all of the actual doctors there seem very nice so I guess thats a plus :) Oh ya and so far I gained 29 pounds... a pound a freaking week. I am NOT happy, the nurse didn't believe me she had to weigh me again and still didn't understand it, she kept on saying it made no sense because I'm so skinny lol but still made me feel a little better hopefully its my baby putting on the weight not me :) Anyways have to book another D/A for 2 weeks from now so I will keep you posted.

Week 28 (91 Days left!)

THIRD TRIMESTER!!!!
You have 13 Weeks, 0 Days to go!
Your due date is April 24, 2009.
Your baby has doubled her weight in the past month and is the size of a bag of flour. She now weighs almost 2 1/2 pounds. Her total length is nearly fifteen inches. Your baby's lungs are now capable of breathing air! This is big news. It means if the baby is born from now on, she'll be able to survive with less medical intervention. Your baby's main job right now is to put the finishing touches on major organ systems, such as her brain, lungs, and liver. As you can probably tell, she's also working on gaining layers of fat. Her body fat is about 2 to 3 percent. Your baby's eyes, which were covered by her eyelid folds at the sixth week of development, are capable of opening this week. Her sucking and swallowing skills are improving.

Is he a she?

I found out today that hairy fairy is a mixed breed as well
like my honey bunny
and that hairy fairy may be preggo aswell
I have to check it out while im on days off
because if this is so

and they are my babies,
so people won't be so confused if I call them my fur babies?
I don't know I need something cute affectoniate and catchy...
???

Week 27... Only 98 days left!!!

You have 14 Weeks, 0 Days to go!
Your due date is April 24, 2009.
Your baby weighs about two pounds and is about 12 to 15 inches long, about the size of a small pot roast. If your baby were born now, he would have an excellent chance (85 percent) of surviving. He still isn't fully formed and would probably not be able to breath by himself. He would need to stay in an incubator to keep his body temperature regulated, and he would have a weak liver and immune system. (Fact: Babies have more taste buds at birth than they will have later in life. Newborns can sniff out and tell the difference between their mother's milk and someone else's.)

My babies :)

Lesley says that it is retarded that I call my babies my babies
he says that that will just confuse people...
they will think that I'm having twins...
so now I have to find a new name
I need something to call my babies that isn't retarded sounding
and still sounds affectionate...

My day away from the "Big City"

So this weekend I had been quiet busy. We decided to get away from the hectic roads of Edmonton and make our way down the road to go see my sister at college, which is only like an hour and 15 minutes away but though Red Deer wasn't hard to find, finding my sister's residence was almost impossible, but what didn't help was to have her yelling because we couldn't find it because she said that the college doesn't have an avenue on street or even an address, so what a great ordeal we had driving around a city that neither me or Lesley knew nothing about for more than an hour. How fun!
We were able to eventually find it and got to visit at her dorm for awhile, but I honestly don't know how she does it, he dorm must only be around 400 square feet and she shares it with another girl! At least there is a bathroom in it but honestly, there is no room to breathe! Lol. After that we hit the road off to my cousin Tim's, who lives in Rocky Mountain House, 45 minutes west of Red Deer. It was a mistake letting my sister drive though. She hadn't been to visit him since September so she was unsure of where to go and getting frustrated and not paying attention causing her to run her very first red light! After that driving with her was a complete mess, she was shaky and unsure about everything, which really put the stress not only on me but on Lesley too! Oh well, we got there safe and sound and had a nice supper with my cousin, his fiance and her daughter and my 4 month old niece (The picture doesn't even begin to show how adorable she is!) I hadn't gone to visit him for about 3 years and I got to check out the new house that they built and I just have to say wowzers! I wish I am that rich when I'm in my early thirties! Gorgeous Gorgeous house, all really nice and dark and modern, beautiful. It was very nice to get away for the day and man oh man I did not want to go home and have to face the disater area that awaited me...Which I still haven't completely conquered. :(

She is the one named Sailor Moon
She is the one . . . Sailor Moon

Week 26

You have 15 Weeks, 0 Days to go!
Your due date is April 24, 2009.
Your baby weighs about 1 1/2 pounds and has undergone a growth spurt in the past few weeks. From weeks twenty to twenty-eight, she almost doubles in height and now would be about a foot tall if she could stand. This week marks a major milestone in your baby's hearing and sight. Your baby's hearing system (cochlea and peripheral sensory end organs), which began fine development during week eighteen, is now completely formed, and over the next few weeks, she'll become increasingly sensitive to sound. In about a month, you'll feel her jump if she hears a sudden loud noise. Sound passes easily into your uterus, which helps her ears develop. Her eyes are almost fully formed. Did you know that all babies have blue eyes in the womb, no matter what their genetic inheritance is? A baby's eyes don't get their final color until a few months after they are born. The air sacs of the lungs, called alveoli, will be developed by the end of this week and will begin to secrete a substance called surfactant that keeps the lung tissue from sticking together.

The loves of my life

These are two of the most wonderful creatures on the planet--
XoXoX
This is my sweet, cuddly, rebelious, honey bunny.
Well actually when I first got him we didn't have a name for him
Lesley was suppose to name him but just called him bunny
which was sad, it needed more
so I actually named him Charlie
because, although you cannot really tell in these pictures
he has sort of the Charlie Chaplin moustache
but I usually just call him honey bunny,
He is such a little sweet heart when he wants to be
I have a soft spot for him
He likes to lay with me on the couch right up under my chin
and just chill, well when he is in the mood
but he's beginning to grow up and become more curious,
so he actually has begun attempting to brake out of his cage
he used to try to be sneaky and do it when no one is around
but now he is trying when ever
he goes ontop of the rabbit house and tries to jump out
so I had to put the top on it so he couldn't
but now whenever he is out with us he attempts to run free
and when we do let him run around the apartment he never wants back in his cage,
which I guess is understandable, seeing as the guinea pig won't leave him alone
but oh well he is like everyone
he has his moments where he is as sweet and loving as can be
but he also wants his freedom and to run around care free
He has so unique I just love him to death,
he doesn't have as many pictures as the guinea pig though
because like I said, once he's down he doesn't wanna sit still
He's my little spaz :)

This is my crazy, loud, beautiful hairy fairy :)
It's freaking nuts,
It jumps all over and tries to mount my honey bunny,
I call it an it because when I got it they told me it was a girl,
I named it love bug,
which Lesley said sounded like a child made it up
then I decided to name it Blanche after "A Street Car Named Desire"
But then we noticed it trying to mount the bunny,
when I first got it it would lay ontop of the bunny in the corner of the cage,
but now it isn't trying to lay on it
it's trying to defile my bunny
which we thought was odd because the bunny is a boy
so I began thinking that it was a boy
and I think I may have saw proof it was once or twice
but I'm not sure
so for now, it is an it
I love it though
with all of its personality and character it is so precious to me
it is also more self confident
and likes getting its picture taken
It just spooks a bit when it makes a sound,
but oh well, it's still my little superstar :)

These are my babies
The loves of my life,
Well minus lesley and my soon to be baby that is.
I love them to death
they are my precious's
if anything were to happen to them I would be devastated.
The are each their own
with so much personality and character
completely opposite but both equally lovable
I can't get over how much I care for these little buggers
I just love 'em.

...another eventful day at work...

So today was another boring day at work...
Lesley actually came to visit me for a couple hours
he wants to find a new place to live...
because he wants a town house...
personally I like my 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment
LOVE it actually
I don't know what it is about it but it's perfect,
well besides the fact that they don't allow pets
...so that causes me to have to hide my babies
but oh well
I still really like our apartment
but yeah, this is the new picture I drew today
I thought I would attempt to make a bunch of different comic book characters for Lesley
he really enjoys them
maybe he can hang them or something
I dunno I don't care
He likes them thats all that matters...
anyways enjoy,
maybe with me drawing more and more I can actually get good :)

Work...and all of it's glory...

So I got really bored at work tonight
and drew Lesley Spiderman
It sucks, maybe if I took time
and made it look nice
and not did it in pen it would turn out better
and in this picture its not finished,
I still have to touch it up...
maybe color in the letters,
I don't know yet,
but here it is,
uncompleted,
but still I thought I would share.

Week 25

By the By these pics are really bad
Taken at early hours of the morning
while I was at work
Really late like 2 or 3 in the morning
of this last week
I know I look like crap
DON'T JUDGE!
lol :)
You have 15 Weeks, 2 Days to go!
Your due date is April 24, 2009.
Your baby weighs 1 1/4 pounds and is a little more than 11 inches long, about the size of a small bag of sugar. In the last third of pregnancy, she'll double and triple her weight. Your dexterous baby can touch and hold her feet and make a fist. Your partner may be able to hear her heartbeat by pressing his ear against your belly. Your baby has a regular sleep schedule now and active and inactive periods. You may or may not be able to discern what those periods are. Her nostrils, which have been plugged, open up.
